Baby "H" in 3D!

Today we had our first appointment with our regular OB doctor. It was a little frustrating. Waited for 30 min before we got in, Chris was sleeping in the waiting room. I finally went up to the window and said, "How much longer will Dr. Nabity be? My appointment was at 3:30. Do I need to give a urine sample? Can I do it now, cause I have to pee....bad!" What do you know, we got right in!
Anyway, the nurse got all the low down. Then said she needed to draw blood. Great! Chris gave her the usual warning. She has small, rolly veins they have a hard time. I pointed her to the usual spot. I just knew she wasn't going to get it. Motherly intuition I guess. She gave up and sent us to the ultrasound room.
Another nurse came in to try me out.......a dribble she got.
The ultrasound tech came in and we got to do the fun stuff. And to our suprise we got to see the baby in 3D! Kinda weird, but fun. It looks like it's made of clay.
Dr. Nabity came in and we were sure to tell him we didn't want to find out the sex. We were warned by the nice nurse that he likes to look. Everything looks normal and we're growing as can be expected. The baby is the size of the palm of your hand. We'll see it again in 4 weeks!
After the good part was over, the nurse came in again and poked both hands, my arms then finally went for the wrist. She got a little more, but not enough. They would try again next time. I'm so excited to be a human pin cushion.
Chris will be starting the Nursery this weekend. Getting his material list and his plan of attack together. I'm hoping it will be done by the end of May.
The baby got it's first Easter baskets this weekend. How does that work you might ask? Two very anxious grandma's! Baby 'H' got it's first baby Elmo & bible books (thanks to G-ma Coon) and it's first rattle, links and wash cloths (thanks to G-ma Harnly).
I have a stash of gifts already all stacked up. I need to find a place for everything already!
