What we've been up to.............

We have been on the go the past couple of weeks. We spent a Saturday with Chris' brother Dan and his nephews Skye and Laken. We went to Skye's basketball game, which Zoey loved. Then stayed overnight to celebrate Dan's birthday. We all had a blast.
Over the past month I've been talking with one of my close friends (I'll leave her name out) about ear candling. So we finally set a day to do it. Here is a picture of what it looked like. I did not realize how high the flame would be. Needless to say when the first burnt section was cut off it fell on the back of my neck and burned me. Luckily, our sofa didn't start on fire. I now have a pretty big scab on my neck. At first it looked like a hicky. Try explaining that one to Chris! Chris' reaction was "I can't leave you home with your friends anymore!" It was an experience. I think my ears do feel cleaner!
The second picture is of Chris, Zoey, Laken and Skye. The boys just adore Zoey. Especially since she's their only girl cousin. I can remember the days when the boys were just born. Seems just like yesterday.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is Zoey's 1st Valentine's Day. Here she is in her Valentine t-shirt posing for the camera. She sat so good. Then what did she do?? Stuck those fingers in her mouth and covered them with her arm, thinking I wouldn't see her doing it. She thinks she is being sooo sneaky!

Yesterday Zoey and I were snowed in. So we made daddy a big heart cookie. She just melts your heart when you look at her. I still am not sure what we ever did with our time before she was here. I know I slept alot more, but you kind of get over that really quick.

This week we had reports from her school that she had a screaming and jumparoo contest with her buddy Jacob. I can just see her now. She's going to be a talker. Her school also told us we need to probably go to bigger diapers and one of her spare outfits was too small. OOps! Tonight we are going to start vegetables. Cereal in the morning, veggies at night. This should be interesting!

We hope you have someone that melts your heart today!

Rub a Dub Dub

Zoey LOVES taking baths. However, her tub is too small for her to lay back and kick around. We have suspended using it until she can sit up on her own.

We put on one of her animal towels to dry off. Wrap her up like a burrito. She is just hilarious when she sees herself in the mirror. We're still working on the naked in the bathtub pictures. Those will be for her baby book. So we can remember all her rolls!

She is slowly growing out of her clothes. It's funny how we had a ton of clothes as gifts and now we will be having to go out and buy some bigger sizes!!
