A Glob......Our Glob

Yesterday was our second ultrasound. Everything looks normal. The tech that did ours said the baby has come out of it's yolk sac, but is huddled next to my uterus wall. So it's more difficult to measure. She said that right now it looks like a GLOB, but it's OUR GLOB!

We did see the heart beating.....beating....beating......beating....a hundred times a second.

Our next ultrasound is in 2 weeks. Hopefully we will be able to actually hear this amazing miracle. I'm so excited. It can't come soon enough.

As I said in our first blog, it's really hard to not let on to people. For instance, last night we went to the Creighton basketball game. We met my friends Shelly and Nicole there. Chris and I got there early, got wristbands, because that will surely throw them off. Then I darted over to this booth and got an O'Douls (for free!) But what did they put it in? An O'Douls cup and no they wouldn't give me a plain cup. Some excuse about inventory control, blah, blah, blah. What a bunch of crap! Those guys are lucky I didn't go psycho pregnant lady on them! So I'm not so sure I threw them off. It tasted okay, but wasn't great. Neither one of them said anything, yet. But my girls are smart. And I'm pretty sure they know, but are nice enough not to ask yet. They know I'll tell them when I'm ready.

Chris has started researching what all we need to buy. We went to Nebraska Furniture Mart and Babies R Us to look around this weekend. And of course we can never find anything that is my taste. But we do have time. Plus, when Chris started researching it appears this is a little more complicated. Somehow we ended up okay and I'm pretty sure we grew up chewing on lead paint, slept on our tummies and everything else we're not to do now.

I'm so excited for the days of when we get to teach our little Harnly and see his or her face when they explore something new. I just hope we do as good of a job as our parents did. I think we turned out pretty good.
Our due date is Sept. 9th. So it looks like our tailgating will be a little limited this year.
We missed my friend Amy Prochaska's birthday by 2 days. But who knows we could go early!
I'm hitting the sack early tonight. Been exhausted all day, need to catch up on some zzzz's.
Good night!
